Trip of a lifetime to The Houses of Parliament

On Friday 22nd June, the Year 5 class and five Year 2 pupils visited the Houses of Parliament. They learnt much about the long history of the building, past prime ministers and the functions of the different rooms. Before their guided tour, the party had time to visit Parliament square with its statues of famous politicians and leaders, Horseguards’ Parade where they witnessed the changing of the Guard and Downing Street where invitees to the Windrush Reception were just emerging from Number 10.

We owe a debt of gratitude to Mr Nicholson who arranged the trip for us.
