Venus Class - Year 3
Term 4
This term we are reading and learning about Pompeii in Literacy, as we take on the role of a newspaper reporter and write a report on the famous eruption of Mount Vesuvius and its aftermath. We are very lucky to be going on a class trip with Year 4 to London to see The Last Days of Pompeii immersive exhibition in March.
This term also sees us go on our annual Year 3/Year 4 residential. We are so excited to be going to Kench Hill outside Tenterden for three days, where we will take part in all sorts of outdoor activities, including archery, den building, orienteering and wildlife walking.
Back in school the children will be finding out why The Magic Kingdom is so popular and what The Sunshine State is really like in Geography, whilst experimenting with light and shadow in Science. In PE they will be further developing their orienteering and team building skills in Outdoor Adventurous Activities, and showing their ball handling skills in rugby.
These are just a few of the highlights of the children's learning in Year 3 this term.
