Kingfishers - Year 6

Mrs Court and Mrs Banfield have absolutely loved getting to know the children and have been so impressed by how quickly they have settled into Year 6. They have already shown such a positive attitude, enthusiasm and maturity, and it has been wonderful to see them embracing their new role as the oldest children in the school.

Friday week 1 was an exciting day as the children were introduced to their Reception buddies. They accompanied them to lunch, helped them settle in and even introduced themselves to their parents — a very grown-up responsibility indeed! It was lovely to see how caring, confident and responsible they were with their new buddies.

Children's new Year 6 roles and responsibilities. A huge congratulations to:

Head Pupils – Dolly and Maisie C
House Captains – Maisie C (Penshurst), Maisy  (Chartwell), Tamsin (Hever) and Isabel (Knole)
Mr Taylor's Assistants – Richie Rae and Mae
Office Assistants – Beth and Mercy
Playground and Games Coordinators – Richie Rae and Mae
Librarian, Charity Ambassador – Cleo

Congratulations to everyone! We know you will all do a fantastic job and be wonderful role models for the rest of the school.

Below this message, you will find some key information for Year 6: a book warmer, some key Year 6 information, a copy of our Term 1 curriculum map and our new timetable, which will begin on Monday. Please note that PE will take place on Mondays and Thursdays, with Forest School on Wednesday afternoons.

Well done again to all the children for such a brilliant start to the year. We are incredibly proud of them already and are looking forward to all that Year 6 has in store!
