Robot building at Weald

In Partnership with the school’s IT support consultants, Carbon Cloud, the children in Years 5 & 6 have been part of a two term technology project. Using three dimensional printers, they have been designing, manufacturing and programming a robot which is capable of solving Rubik’s cubes. Who knows what the average home and workplace will look like in 40 years; however, one thing is for sure, the number and sophistication of technological devices will be increasingly in evidence. The following article highlights the importance of teaching high-end technology within the National Curriculum.
